Day-long seminar with Dr. Steven Woolf, New York State Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul, and Upstate Medical University President Danielle Laraque-Arena, MD, FAAP. Expert panel presentations will be followed by Q&A sessions, and include the following topics: Heroin/Opioid Epidemic; Community Violence; Place-Based Determinants of Health.
Friday, March 31:
9 a.m. – Noon
Half-day session includes a welcome by Dr. Steven Woolf; an address on Emerging Disparities In Women’s Health; and expert panel sessions on Refugee Health and Preparing Health Care Practitioners to Address the Social Determinants of Health.
