Communications Intern

SyracuseCoE seeks student intern to help story-tell the activities of the faculty, students and company projects that happen in collaboration with the center. This includes web, print, social media and outreach. 

Up to 20 hours per week, depending on availability. $14-16 per hour, commensurate with experience. Position may carry into future semesters.

Innovation Programs Intern

SyracuseCoE seeks candidates to work as Intern with its Innovation Programs team, which supports SyracuseCoE Partner researchers and companies with a variety of programs and projects related to our core focus areas: high performance building, indoor environmental quality, and energy and water resources. 

The Intern should be available 10 – 15 hours per week during the summer and will be paid $14-16/hour; the position may be continued during the academic year.

Engineering Intern – Multiple Sustainable Energy and Environmental Projects

SyracuseCoE seeks Engineering / Architecture students to work as interns with the CoE’s facilities management team on projects related to sustainability involving advanced building systems, indoor environmental quality and energy efficiency. Duties will also include assisting in troubleshooting and support of control configuration (new & legacy systems), mechanical, electrical, and other controlled equipment. Research related activities will support the College of Engineering and Computer Science and local industry partners of SyracuseCoE.

The Intern should be available 40 hours per week during the summer and will be paid $14-16/hour. If the candidate is successful, the position may be continued, with decreased hours, during the academic year.

Ventilation Test Apparatus Development Internship – Summer 2021

SyracuseCoE seeks a qualified mechanical engineering graduate student(s) to work as an intern on a project to develop a system to monitor air flow patterns within an occupied space. This is part of a system used for airborne pathogen detection. The skillset necessary for successful candidates with this project includes a background or exposure to hands on mechanical engineering design principles and strong interest in performing research related tasks. The successful candidate will work alongside the engineering staff of the SyracuseCoE for guidance performing project tasks. Duties will also expose the student to building HVAC and IAQ ventilation system design and performance measurement techniques.

The Intern should be available 40 hours per week $14-16/hour (based on the skill level). If the candidate is successful, the position may be continued beyond the end of the summer.
